Native to Eastern North America, this is one of the most familiar and widely grown garden ferns. Plants form a tidy, low to medium-sized clump of dark-green, leathery fronds, remaining evergreen in most regions. Adapts well to many garden situations, preferring rich, moist soil. Tolerates summer heat and humidity. Easy and reliable.
