A recent discovery of a native grass, which used to be widely distributed all over the Great Plains. This forms sturdy, tight, upright stems in blue-green, purple, closer to the base. Silver flower spikes in late summer. Superb fiery fall colour. Tolerates heat and humidity. Warm season. Provides excellent winter interest.
