Woodland Phlox is perfect for a moist, shady border, putting on a showy mid-spring display. This selection has fragrant, starry flowers of very pale blue over a mound of green foliage, the blooms seeming white from a distance. Excellent vigour and disease resistance, and a good choice for regions with hot and humid summers. Spreads to form a small patch, and divisions can easily be taken in early fall. Will usually tolerate full sun conditions in cool summer regions. Terrific when combined with spring-blooming bulbs, especially narcissus. A native North American wildflower. Selected in the Netherlands by Piet Oudolf,
