A perennial cousin to the annual Sweet Pea with large clusters of showy flowers ranging from white to pink, rose and lavender-mauve. Unfortunately, these are not fragrant, but are excellent for cutting and can also be dried. Plants form a sprawling or climbing clump of dark green leaves. Useful on dry, sunny slopes. Drought-tolerant. This has escaped into roadside areas in certain parts of the country. If self-seeding is a concern, plants may be clipped back hard after flowering to prevent seeds from forming.
