Small compact shrub with glossy, dark green leaves. Slow growing. Retains colour year-round, often turning yellowish/green during winter. Deer-resistant and disease-free. The most widely used plant for creating short hedges along borders, walkways, and rock gardens. Very easy to prune any time of year with just shears or hand-held pruners. Great plant for novice gardeners to prune into round and square shapes.
