A multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with a more or less rounded form. A very hardy thicket-forming shrub. Can grow quite large for most gardens. Features bright red stems, which provide a stunning winter interest. Variegated green and white foliage turns a purple colour in fall. Features clusters of small white blooms in late spring, followed by ornamental white berries in mid-summer.
